CPR 330990 as coil car. With original script
lettering. |

CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY
purchased many all welded gondolas from Hawker Siddley starting in
1966. This are the first CPR Gondolas that were completely welded. They
found uses in genaral service
(GS) for sulfur, scrap and other bulky merchandise, as (steel) coil
cars. Ore cars with fibreglass covers are mostly used for copper and
lead concentrate.
When delivered they were painted black and had the CP script logo,
later they were painted action red with the multi mark logo and in the
1990's the multi mark logo was omitted. Some may still be in use.

The models
are one of a kind museum quality, completely finished, handmade from
epoxy castings and brass stirrup steps, hand grabs and brake rods. They
are painted and numbered to represent a real prototype, with “real
look” weathering, Lettering artwork was specifically made for this
gondolas.
The masters for this model were developed from prototype drawings,
photographs and actual measurements. They are exquisitely detailed
according to prototype with free standing ladders, detailed under
floor, cut levers and brake hoses.
Versions available: Coil cars with coil cradle inside, ore cars with
two types of covers, or General Service (without cover).
