ANDY
W.
SCALE MODELS was started
in 1981 originally to provide professional
architectural and industrial model building
services, which is now taken over
with the production of Model Trains.
In
1984 I began with the production of railway models,
specializing in highly detailed quality models, cast
with Epoxy resin and brass parts.
My work is in collections around the world.
The fully
functional production models are made in what is
known as composite construction, made from
brass and epoxy resin. Two of the best materials to
make premium limited production models. I make the
masters and molds and cast the parts with premium
quality epoxy resin. Unlike other resin models made
with inferior resins that distort, my models are
straight and free of distortion. They have
aged extremely well.
Careful
research assures each model is prototypical in every
respect, from roof to underbody detail, even the
painting and numbers chosen represent an original. I
carefully assemble, paint and finish them to be
superior than brass models.
I pride
myself on attention to the finest details and offer
only my finest work. Many hours of work have
gone into each model to ensure that there are no
cracks, glue marks, fingerprints or other defects.
HERITAGE ART IN
MINIATURES are sold as finished
models, as you see them in the pictures, not
kits.
Production runs are limited to between 10 to 30 models
and reruns are considered by customer demand.
Models
are not sold
in retail stores, only on this web site.
Send an E-mail,
if you are interested in anything on the INVENTORY
list.
Each
model has been "weathered" using my unique process
"trade mark finish", making it a true master piece.
This whole process allows the finer details
of the model come to life, giving a truly astounding
MUSEUM QUALITY model.
They are
signed Andy W. and dated on the bottom to confirm
authenticity.
This is a
high end product with very fine details, made as
strong as possible. Therefore they are not toys
intended for children or rough handling.
