Cheakamus Canyon display of Mile 55.8 Bridge on the British Columbia Railway
(BCR) in HO scale 1:87.
Frame: 5/8"
Plywood with folding legs. L=60", W=30", H=26".
Roadbed: 2 x 3/8" Plywoodlaminated in segments,
Homasote on top.
Track: Handlayed Code
83 by MicroEngeneering.
Super
elevated in the curves, correct gradient and
curve
geometry. Track work is shaped from PGE survey
drawings and plans.
Bridge and Abutments: 80ft' DPG (Deck Plate Girder)
scratch built
from plexiglass and styreene with
help from
PGE drawings, on site survey
and pictures.
Landscape: Wire mesh with fibreglas over it. Plaster
rocks are formed in place with
molds
and painted with Acryl paint. Water is casting resin.
